Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and initiating new product design, development, and product line management for frac/well stimulation related products, rentals, reconditioning, service tools, and service.

Main Responsibilities

- Support and initiate new product design, development, and product line management for frac/well stimulation related products, rentals, reconditioning, service tools, and service.
- Provide maintenance and optimization of existing product lines.
- Support and execute all customer orders.
- Work closely with other engineering team members to provide technical and design support to meet specific customer or product line needs.
- Advise and provide technical support to operations, sales, field service, manufacturing, and the customer.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation such as drawings, work instructions, engineering bulletins, and running procedures in accordance with Stream-Flo Engineering, HSE, and industry standards.
- Create and maintain design files relevant to products.
- Prepare product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements, and related specifications.
- Prepare necessary calculations required on new and existing products.
- In coordination with the quality department, troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects, material review, warranty issues, and custom engineering requirements (NCIR's).
- Develop, write, and implement production procedures as it pertains to the support of engineering functions (i.e. machining, test, assembly, etc.).

Requirements

- Minimum 8 years related experience in Frac products and associated projects and services.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Technical Institute.
- Membership with APEGA or ASET or eligible to get membership: P. Eng or P. Tech (Eng.) or PE
- Knowledge of wellhead and Frac products, oil and gas industry, and competitors.
- Proficient with 3D Modeling and drafting.
- Proficient with and experienced in the use of ANSI, ASME, and ISO drafting techniques and geometric tolerance.
- Knowledge of all API/ISO product requirements.
- Knowledge of stress analysis and of the development and control of design documentation including technical writing.
- Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working on several priorities.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and desire to gain experience/expanding knowledge.
- A mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Able to support projects within Canada and internationally, with potential for international travel.
