About the Position

This challenging and rewarding role requires a skilled dietitian to lead our inpatient clinical nutrition team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and support to patients and their families, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in clinical nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in clinical nutrition
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans
Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition or related field
  • Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
  • Minimum one year of experience as a dietitian
  • Inpatient clinical nutrition experience an asset
  • Competency in dysphagia management, enteral, and parenteral nutrition
  • Experience counselling patients
  • WHMIS certification an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
