Job Title: Social Services Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Services Worker to join our team at the District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to clients in need, working in a social assistance office environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client interactions and progress.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work with clients to develop and implement plans to address their social and economic needs.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a social services or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
