Compensation and Benefits

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware while adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Place dishes in storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, using approved cleaning solutions.
  • Scour pots and pans to ensure they are free from debris and food residue.
  • Maintain accurate records of food quantities used during preparation and service.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer expectations.
  • Utilize manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs as required.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a high level of hygiene.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and effectively.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring inventory is properly labeled and dated.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly, maintaining a clean and odor-free environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed for preparation and service.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Food Safety Certificate, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, handling tasks that require physical stamina.
  • Weight handling capabilities of up to 9 kg (20 lbs), reflecting your ability to lift and move objects safely.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues and customers.
  • Reliability and dependability, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Team player mentality, collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Initiative and positive attitude, driving continuous improvement and excellence in all aspects of kitchen operations.
