Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Strategy Manager to join our team at Wurth Canada. As a key member of our Sales Operations department, you will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts and sales controllers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of two data analysts and sales controllers, setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, IT, Sales Management, Product Management, Marketing divisions, Finance, and Human Resources.
  • Develop and implement data models using machine learning and statistical methods, selecting appropriate algorithms based on problem and data characteristics.
  • Deploy and monitor models in production environments, making real-time predictions and retraining models as necessary to maintain accuracy over time.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze sales, customer, product, and performance data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Provide proactive recommendations and reports on company KPIs (Sales, GP, Profitability, Customers, Sales Commissions, etc.) to senior management based on forecasting models and historical trends.
  • Support territory optimization, customer transfers, sales planning, and target adjustments, as well as compensation plans and incentives.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in an analytical field, preferably in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Economics.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to role model and support a high-performance culture built on humanistic values.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills and expertise in Power BI.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset, with verbal and written proficiency.
