Job Summary

1911253 Alberta Inc DBA Torque Logistics is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the tractor-trailer, including regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Transport Goods: Drive the tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across the country, following all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Experience: Have experience driving a tractor-trailer, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Language: Be fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
