We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at ABM Childcare Center Ltd. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs for our young children.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care and Education: Assist in the care and education of infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
- Program Implementation: Support early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, singing songs, and preparing crafts, to stimulate their curiosity and creativity.
- Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Observations and Progress: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to track their progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems, ensuring a collaborative approach to childcare.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate excellent written communication skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, team player qualities, values, and ethics, as well as creativity and honesty.
- Experience: Have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Environment: Work in a permanent position, with a 30 to 40 hour workweek, and a language of work in English.
