Transportation Specialist for Student Safety

About the Position

As a Transportation Specialist with First Student Shared Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

With a focus on providing exceptional customer service, you will work closely with school districts to develop and implement efficient transportation plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Providing support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Working collaboratively with other drivers and school staff to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license for at least 1 year
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • At least 21 years old
  • Pass a Ministry prescribed medical examination and Background checks
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $24.75 per hour (dependent on experience) and benefits including:

  • Paid training - $313 @ 90/180 days
  • Hours guarantee - 4 hours per shift
  • Additional hours available - charter route opportunities
  • Child ride along program for parents with young children
  • No nights or weekends unless requested
