Job Summary:
The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Course Mechanic to join our Turfcare team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures
- Collaborate with the Equipment Manager to ensure effective equipment management
- Implement and ensure compliance with OH&S standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to hourly Turfcare team members
- Assist with the development and implementation of annual operating and capital budgets
- Staff management and administration, including training employees on safety equipment and procedures
- Ensure effective communication between members, staff, and the Turfcare Management team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Mechanic, with a strong background in golf course equipment operation and maintenance
- Education and/or working knowledge of small engines and diesel engines, troubleshooting electrical and/or hydraulic systems
- Demonstrated team player with proven leadership competencies and a commitment to creating a respectful and supportive work environment
- Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Details:
This is a permanent, year-round, full-time position reporting to the Equipment Manager. Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The successful candidate will work alongside and report to the Golf Course Superintendent.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check and online certifications prior to commencing employment.
