Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Blue Parrot Coffe Hillcrest. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and efficiently
Work Environment:

As a Shift Manager at Blue Parrot Coffe Hillcrest, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. You will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of quality and service.

Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to work in a noisy and hot environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
