Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Release Quality Assurance Specialist to join our QA team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our FortiClient software.
Key Responsibilities- Manual Testing: Run manual development and release testing of FortiClient to identify and report defects.
- Test Environment Setup: Setup and maintain various test systems involving multiple network components, using physical or virtual machines (VM).
- Regression Testing: Run and review results of regression test systems to ensure stability and reliability.
- Automated Testing: Implement and maintain automated test software using Python scripting language to streamline testing processes.
- Test Reporting: Create test reports in internal tracking systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Customer Support: Monitor and handle customer responses and issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Industry Research: Continuously review and report best practices in the industry to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
- Collaboration: Work with other Fortinet products, such as FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSandbox, etc., and collaborate with developers, team leads, and other QA specialists.
- Experience: 3 years or more of experience in software testing, network administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux administration, programming or scripting skills (Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, Bash, Powershell, etc.), knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.), and familiarity with QA processes.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
