Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced construction laborer to join our team at Whitehill Mechanical Group. This is a unique opportunity to work on various construction projects, utilizing your physical abilities and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to designated sites
  • Measuring weights for rigging and hoisting operations
  • Performing pre-operational inspections to guarantee equipment safety
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements and execute tasks accordingly
  • Assembling tower cranes on-site and assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Operating offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels, as well as leveling earth to fine-grade specifications
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials, performing routine maintenance work, and removing rubble and debris at construction sites
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction or a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
  • Physical demands include handling heavy loads, working outdoors, and being exposed to noisy, dusty, cold/refrigerated, and rural areas
  • Must be willing to relocate to different locations as needed
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of settings, including docksides, urban areas, remote locations, rural areas, industrial plants, factories or plants, and construction sites. A willingness to adapt to changing environments and priorities is essential.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
