Dedicated Practical Nurse for Long-Term Care Setting
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at YARROW LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
About the RoleThis is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gerontology and experience working with elderly patients. You will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control measures are in place.
Responsibilities- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct specimen collection and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
- Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of nursing interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians
- Licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work
- Education: College diploma or equivalent in nursing
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or gerontological nursing
