  • Education: A secondary school graduation certificate is required for this position.
  • Experience: Candidates with 7 months to less than 1 year of experience are preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.Repair and replace electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain our systems in good working order.Install underground wiring and cables to connect our facilities and equipment.Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation to track our system's performance and identify areas for improvement.Splice, join and connect wires to ensure our electrical systems are functioning properly.Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to identify any issues with our circuits.Troubleshoot and isolate faults to quickly resolve any problems that arise.Connect power to audio and visual equipment to ensure our facilities are well-lit and equipped.Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to provide reliable and efficient power distribution.Supervise other workers to ensure our electrical systems are being installed and maintained safely and efficiently.Estimate costs and materials to ensure we are prepared for any future projects.Conduct preventive maintenance programs to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.Certifications and LicensesA valid Electrician Trade Certification is required for this position.Support for Newcomers and RefugeesWe participate in government and community programs that support newcomers and refugees to help them integrate into our community.Support for YouthWe participate in government and community programs that support youth employment to help young people gain the skills and experience they need to succeed.Support for Indigenous PeoplesWe participate in government and community programs that support Indigenous peoples to help them access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.This is a permanent position with a work term of 32 hours per week.The work language is English.
