Automotive Service Technician

CITY TIRE LTD is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Adjust and Repair Automotive Systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, brake system, fuel and emission system, ignition and electrical system, automatic transmission, standard transmission, engine repair and overhaul, and imported vehicles.
- Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, and ensure that all repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide accurate and transparent estimates to customers.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and completing reports to record problems and work performed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Site Environment: Fast-paced environment, dusty, and requires standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive service industry.
