About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd. in a key role that will drive manufacturing optimization and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor, and execute project plans to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the operational team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
  • Design and implement industrial trials to test new processes and technologies.
  • Drive progress through a rigorous approach to process standardization, reducing process variability and improving quality.
  • Manage preventative maintenance activities and report results.
  • Ensure site compliance with corporate process standards and support IKO's safety management systems.
  • Partner with the Reliability Engineer on Plant Reliability processes and assist with reporting and participation in plant monthly and quarterly Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reviews.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Process/Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Project implementation skills from initial stages to completion.
  • Proven track record of successful projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
  • Effective planning, prioritizing, and time management skills.
  • Ability to mentor/coach Plant Co-Op students.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD/Inventor.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time within Canada.
