Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as advising on tendering procedures and analyzing tenders to recommend awards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Advise on tendering procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards to ensure best value for the company
  • Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenditures
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates and timely project completion
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field (e.g. construction engineering technology/technician)
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines
