Senior Financial Advisor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Advisor to provide exceptional customer service to our members.

The Senior Financial Advisor will be responsible for identifying member life stage cycles and providing tailored financial solutions to meet their needs. This may involve referring members to an appropriate advisor or providing guidance on investment, deposit, and complex lending services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Member Service: Build strong relationships with current and potential members, identifying their financial needs and providing advice or referrals as necessary.
  2. Member Transactions: Process a range of complex transactions, including MFDA products and services, retail mortgages, personal and RRSP loans, and related insurance products.
  3. Branch Goals: Support the achievement of annual branch goals and objectives by promoting First West products and services, participating in branch campaigns, and seeking cross-sell and referral opportunities.
  4. Branch Support: Mentor other branch employees in lending and investment products and services, and provide advice and assistance with member issues.

Requirements:

  • College or Tech School Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mutual Funds License required.
  • First West certification program completion within the required timeframe.
  • PFP preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Financial Advisor role or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex advisory conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize member needs and build strong relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in retail lending and investment products and services.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and solve problems using common sense and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office and banking software programs.
  • Understanding of risk and risk ownership, with adherence to policies and procedures.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $55,200 - $70,700. Please note that the salary range is a guide, and the final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including bonuses and incentives, or a candidate's skills and experience.
