About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Manager to lead our environmental planning and compliance efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies, managing environmental aspects of projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the environmental planning and compliance efforts for complex projects, including developing and implementing environmental strategies and managing environmental aspects.
  • Develop and support environmental staff across the district, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with transportation planning, engineering, urban design/landscape design, and other disciplines to ensure comprehensive project delivery.
  • Perform quality reviews of deliverables to ensure high-quality products are produced on time and budget.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with various levels of agency personnel.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff on technical and professional issues.
Requirements
  • 20 or more years of experience in progressively more complex environmental planning roles.
  • Appropriate degrees in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • Mastery of Microsoft 365 products to perform assigned tasks.
  • ESRI ArcGIS skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
