About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistical Process Control Analyst to join our team at Magellan Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Planning and Operations Management team, you will play a critical role in the implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) at our Winnipeg manufacturing hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and training to support the effective implementation of SPC, ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs in SPC, focusing on process control and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify opportunities for variability reduction and implement process improvements.
  • Work closely with the ME/QA department to develop and implement specification plans, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Research and evaluate new inspection technologies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO:17025 requirements for tool calibration and communicate with external calibration houses as needed.
  • Review and revise existing operation procedures and work instructions related to SPC, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with SPC concepts and advanced software and hardware, applying this knowledge to drive process improvements.
  • Promote the utilization of SPC data to enhance manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support the metrology department in tracking and analyzing data, providing insights to inform process improvements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Engineering Technologist program or relevant University degree, or a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in applying statistical methods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Membership in CTTAM or APEGM, if applicable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on detail, priority setting, and customer service.
