Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Current registration with the provincial or territorial nursing regulatory body.
  • 1-7 months of experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
