Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Hope Mechanical & Hydraulics Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy equipment fleet.

This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting and repair skills, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.

You will also be required to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, as well as maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A diploma in a related field, such as heavy equipment mechanics or a related trade
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Certifications in areas such as WHMIS, First Aid, and welding
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions
