Job Title: Construction Project Manager

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.

 

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including project supervisors, managers, and workers. You will be responsible for coordinating work activities, supervising workers and projects, estimating costs and materials, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Coordinate and schedule activities
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Train or arrange for training

 

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
