We are seeking a skilled Clinical Systems Pharmacist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask.

Compensation: Pay Band Pharmacist - Degree Senior $55,479 to $64,530 per year

Job Description:

Role Overview

As a Clinical Systems Pharmacist, you will play a key role in integrating knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide quality client-focused pharmacy services within the Saskatchewan Health Authority Pharmacy Services.

Under the direction of Manager, Clinical Systems Pharmacist, you will be committed to enhancing the medication use system by applying software or hardware to support clinical decision-making and medication distribution. You will work across professional silos, hierarchy, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) to implement and maintain pharmacy-specific clinical systems.

The incumbent is accountable for maintaining pharmacy computer system applications used in SHA and serving as an inter-professional liaison with pharmacy staff, nursing, physicians, Digital Health, eHealth, pharmacy automation vendors, and other members of the care team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain pharmacy computer system applications used in SHA
  • Serve as an inter-professional liaison with various stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain pharmacy-specific clinical systems
  • Enhance the medication use system through software or hardware application
RequirementsEducation

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or entry-to-practice Doctor of Pharmacy Degree

Experience

- Two years of previous experience in Hospital Pharmacy

Licenses/Memberships

- Registered and Licensed with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP) upon commencement date

- Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB) certification from an accredited Pharmacy Residency Program is an asset

- Membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) is an asset

- Membership in the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan (PAS) is an asset

  • Ability to identify, prevent, or resolve complex problems in a timely manner
