Refrigeration Specialist

Wildstone Group is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:- Install and start up new HVAC systems, ensuring efficient operation and safety.
- Conduct thorough assessments of operating problems in industrial and dew point applications, identifying solutions through troubleshooting and analysis.
- Responsible for accurate troubleshooting of electrical systems, basic controls, and unit control panels, including a basic understanding of PLC and/or microprocessors.
- Perform mechanical inspections using multimeters, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment, and other specialty tools to identify issues and recommend repairs.
- Assemble and install refrigeration or A/C components, including motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors, using hand and power tools.
- Measure and cut piping, connecting it using welding and brazing equipment to ensure secure and leak-free connections.
- Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Startup HVAC systems and test for leaks using testing devices, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system, and perform routine maintenance or servicing to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems, using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Boiler startups experience is an asset.
- Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems and performing building service/maintenance on the HVAC equipment is essential.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Willing to relocate to Whitehorse, Yukon.
- Must possess Interprovincial Refrigeration Journeyperson ticket.
- Min. years' experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, etc.
- HVAC/Gas fitting experience is preferred.
- Must possess own tools necessary to complete HVAC diagnosis and repair.
- Solid understanding of modern construction practices.
- Understanding of construction documents.
- Must possess a valid Class Drivers License and be insurable.
- Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
- A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Plumbing, Sheet Metal, or Fuel Oil Technician also an added asset.
