Industrial and Construction Project Manager with Leadership Experience

Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and control project operations in an industrial and construction environment;
- Manage work and supervise various projects in the industrial, pharmaceutical, agri-food, and bioindustrial fields;
- Coordinate between professionals, subcontractors, and clients to respect project schedules and budgets;
- Prepare plans and specifications with the interdisciplinary project team for turnkey projects;
- Issue tender documents and award contracts to subcontractors;
- Architect and manage project documentation;
- Monitor work carried out by subcontractors and ensure compliance with plans and specifications;
- Oversee construction, including shop drawings, meetings, site visits, change notices, budget monitoring, schedule, final deficiencies, start-up, and commissioning;
- Organize and lead coordination meetings and site monitoring between subcontractors and stakeholders;
- Identify opportunities for optimization and correction of problems on-site;
- Estimate costs of various construction works;
- Coordinate work with the site superintendent and potentially act as superintendent if applicable;
- Assist the project manager with project closure at construction, contractual, and administrative levels.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction and/or industrial environments, preferably in food, chemical process, and biopharmaceutical disciplines;
- Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, building engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or agri-food engineering;
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
- Mastery of IT tools for budget and schedule monitoring (MS Project);
- Experience in engineering-consulting management is an asset;
- Driver's license required;
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, codes, and standards related to activity fields.
