About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our shared services IT division in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us build secure systems and mitigate emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct threat assessments of IT solution designs and determine associated cybersecurity risks.
  • Design and implement cybersecurity controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Review and assess IT and cybersecurity control changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  • Conduct periodic audits of cybersecurity control architecture.
  • Develop cybersecurity policies and standards to meet business objectives.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, and relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM. A proven background in a similar Cyber Security Architect role is essential. You should have a good understanding of Cyber Architect principles, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS. Experience with security tools and technologies, as well as industry frameworks like ISO 27001 and COBIT, is also required. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders and provide guidance on cloud security.
