About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Empress Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English.
