Baker Tilly, a leading provider of professional services, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Student to join their team. As a Summer Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public accounting and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the completion of assurance engagements for various clients, including audit procedures and review of client information
  • Preparing query lists for managers and assisting with the completion of personal and corporate income tax returns
  • Developing your knowledge and professional skill set in a paperless environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic record, with a direction towards obtaining post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
