About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Provide education and training to patients and their families on various healthcare topics, including disease management and prevention.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
    • Assist with medication management and administration.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in a rural area, providing care to patients in their homes or in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.
    • Relocation costs may be covered by the employer.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold a Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Screening Questions
    • Be available for shift or on-call work.
    • Be legally able to work in Canada.
    • Be willing to relocate for this position.
    • Have previous experience in the healthcare field.
    • Hold the required certifications.
