The Position

Parkwest Projects Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to support the successful delivery of our projects. As a key member of our team, you will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent to ensure the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
  • Erect and dismantle fencing, ramps, catwalks, and barricades required at sites
  • Prepare work areas for subtrades
  • Assist in rebar placing, tying and erection of form work for concrete placement
  • Physical endurance being able to lift 50lbs at a time
  • Basic knowledge and cooperation of safety requirements and PPE
  • Must be willing to work in variable climatic conditions

Qualifications & Skills

  • Reliable, hardworking team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
  • 2 years of general labourer experience in the construction industry considered an asset, but not required
  • Must provide own steel toed boots and hard hat

Conditions of Employment

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned (which may include lifting up to 50 lbs)
