About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter-Installer Specialist to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining gas lines and equipment, as well as providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment, install and maintain meters and regulators, and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter.
  • Customer Service: Advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
  • Repair and Service: Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment, test and adjust control mechanisms, and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, prepare tenders and quotations, and plan installation and maintenance activities.
  • Propane and Natural Gas Filling Stations: Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Valid driver's licence.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, team player, positive attitude.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 37.5 to 44 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a positive attitude.
