About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team at RS SIDHU TRUCKING LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate a dump truck to transport goods and materials, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Plan Routes and Schedules: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from the dump truck, ensuring that cargo is secure and properly tied down.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicle: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and respond to any issues or concerns that may arise during transportation.
  • Record and Track Data: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and provide accurate and timely reports to management.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (Semi Trailer Trucks): Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A licence to operate a semi-trailer truck.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Hold a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with dispatch and other team members.
