About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Floor Technology Consultant to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Banking & Markets (GBM) team, you will be responsible for providing full stack web development of applications and enhancement of web-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business processes and develop web-based systems to meet business needs
  • Liaise with various groups within the bank to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Design user interfaces and use state-of-the-art web development technologies, including working with large datasets, bulk editing, advanced reporting, workflow notifications, APIs, web security, and intelligent prediction using analytics/machine learning

Requirements:
  • Familiarity and experience with full stack web development, including back-end languages (e.g. C#, ASP, Visual Basic, Python) and SQL and relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Access)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various channels
