Position Summary

Reporting to the Surveillance Manager, this role focuses on monitoring both interior and exterior areas of a property through closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. The primary responsibility is maintaining accurate visual records while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. This position also contributes to fostering a positive and safe work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Thoroughly monitor, document, and report any observed violations, significant cash transactions, individuals on exclusion lists, and unauthorized access attempts.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records, ensuring proper storage for potential evidentiary purposes.
  • Continuously monitor the condition of surveillance facilities and equipment, documenting any issues or required maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant operational departments to ensure seamless information flow.
  • Build strong working relationships with both guests and team members, promoting a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Post-secondary education in criminology or a related field is an asset, along with relevant work experience in security or surveillance.
  • Possession of a Responsible Liquor Service Certification (e.g., Serving it Right) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus while monitoring screens for extended periods are crucial.
  • Commitment to adhering to high standards, procedures, and ethical conduct is paramount.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License is required.
  • Bilingual (English/French) skills are beneficial but not mandatory.

Work Environment Considerations

  • This role typically involves a standard office environment. However, non-traditional work hours may be necessary at times, and occasional travel may be required.
