We are seeking a skilled Bicycle Technician to join our team at D'Ornellas Bike Shop Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting products to determine the requirements for repair, repairing or replacing defective or worn-out parts and components, and testing and adjusting repaired products for proper functioning.

Work Environment

Our work site environment is dusty and noisy, and you will be working outdoors. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to work overtime.

Work Setting

You will be working in a repair setting, primarily in an urban area, providing on-site customer service. You will be required to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work efficiently in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair
  • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools
  • Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
  • Calibrate products using hand tools
Computer and Technology Knowledge

You will be required to have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

Area of Specialization

You will be working in the area of meters, bicycle, sporting goods and recreational items, electronic, and mechanical.

Sales Experience

You will have experience in sales, specifically in fitness equipment.

Security and Safety

You will be required to undergo a criminal record check and drug test.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, with manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination being essential skills.

Weight Handling

You will be required to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Personal Suitability

You will be required to have strong client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and be organized and reliable.
