Zurich Insurance Company is seeking a highly skilled Property Underwriter to join our team in Canada. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your analytical skills and industry expertise to underwrite complex property risks.

As a Property Underwriter at Zurich, you will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, utilizing the Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework. You will work closely with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to understand their unique needs and develop tailored solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Cross-sell other lines of business to increase product density and drive revenue growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in the insurance or market-facing area.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, including underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations, and guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
