Salary Range:

$40.53-$50.62 per hour (CAD)

About the Role:

This Surgical Care Specialist position plays a vital role in providing technical support and clinical assistance with anesthesia services at Vancouver General Hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist anesthesiologists in developing and implementing anesthesia care plans
  • Monitor patients' physiological responses to anesthesia
  • Maintain anaesthesiology equipment and ensure effective patient care
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement and best practices in anesthesiology assistant work

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized Anesthesia Assistant Program and current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS)
  • Broad knowledge of anesthesia assistant theory and practice within a client-centered model for care
