Retail Store Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Operations Manager to join our team at Bombay Spices Saint John. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks and activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
About the Role:- This is a permanent full-time position, working 35-40 hours per week.
- The ideal candidate will have 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of 5-10 staff members, including sales workers, office staff, and volunteer staff.
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
- Authorize the return of merchandise and manage cash transactions accurately.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise during the course of the day.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Manage employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed to ensure that team members are meeting their goals and objectives.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Computer skills, particularly in MS Outlook, are essential for this role.
- This is a permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Free parking is available for employees.
- English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- The typical workweek is 35-40 hours, with some flexibility possible.
