Electromagnetic Signal Processing Specialist

Agile Electromagnetics is a Canadian company focused on developing next-generation remote sensing and counter-drone systems. Our team is dedicated to creating innovative solutions for cognitive RF systems.
This role plays a critical part in our team, leading algorithm development for one of our projects. You will work closely with the software, FPGA, and hardware teams to deliver novel solutions for our customers. This position requires someone with excellent collaboration and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate their vision.
Responsibilities
- Create and analyze algorithms for remote sensing systems, including radar, communications, and electronic support measures.
- Model DSP and array processing algorithms using Python or MATLAB.
- Develop real-time software using C/C++.
- Collaborate with the wider team to review and implement solutions.
- Work closely with FPGA and software developers to implement algorithms in real-time.
- Participate in every phase of product development, from requirements definition to integration and characterization.
Requirements
- Ph.D./Master's degree in Math, Physics, or Engineering with a focus on signal processing, communications, radar, or machine learning.
- Deep understanding of digital signal processing theory and implementation.
- Experience in modeling systems using Python or MATLAB.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience with radar signal processing is an asset.
- Experience with real-time software or FPGA development is an asset.
This is a hybrid role at our office in Kanata, requiring certification to access Controlled Goods. The ideal candidate should have experience working collaboratively and be able to effectively communicate their vision.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $90,000 to $130,000 per year, plus bonus pay and retention bonuses. Additionally, you will receive paid time off and benefits.
