We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Department at Watson Clinic. As a Senior Oncology Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage patient needs, providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with investigators, other employees, and patients to advance research and improve patient outcomes.
- Administer chemotherapy medication, including injections and IVs, and document medication given or prescribed by ordering physicians.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining current certification in CPR and adhering to nursing policy and procedure when documenting information in patient records.
- Participate in mandatory safety training programs and lectures, and accept responsibility for reading and referencing new policy and procedures and Clinical Services Notes newsletter.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing with active Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
- Chemo experience is required, with preferred 2 years of oncology experience.
- Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment, and current ACLS certification or to be completed within 6 months of employment.
- Certification in OCN after working 1000 hours.
