We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and fulfilling contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external safety systems for the company and its clients.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external clients on all environment, health, and safety matters.
  • Provide counsel on environmental, health, and safety matters for all Team Members.
  • Develop, manage, and improve related corporate training programs.
  • Develop, manage, and improve related corporate early and safe return to work programs.
  • Development and reporting of key safety metrics and related reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 to 10 years experience in a related field.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective training and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation:
  • Canadian registered safety professional from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals.
  • Registered Occupational Hygienist.
  • Certified Safety Professional.
  • Certified Health & Safety Consultant from the Canadian Society of Engineering.
