We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Receiver to join our team at Curtiss-Wright's Indal Technologies in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient receipt of shipments, verifying contents, and accurately processing and filing required documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is performed according to the Quality Management System (QMS) and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Responsible for safe unloading of packages from incoming vehicles and verifying contents to ensure they are not damaged and the quantities are accurate.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing staff for expected and urgent deliveries, and with Operations staff to advise receipt of urgent deliveries.
  • Responsible for receiving shipments and signing paperwork, after verifying contents.
  • Verify packages according to purchase order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
  • Accurately print and apply labels, as required.
  • Process and file the required documents accurately and promptly, and contact Sourcing if mistakes or discrepancies are identified.
  • Follows every reasonable precaution to ensure work is performed following the Health & Safety procedures. Immediately report accidents and incidents and participate in their investigations.

Requirements:

  • Three years experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Oracle ERP system experience would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of safety labelling requirements.
  • Experience using lift equipment (high reach, forklifts, overhead cranes and pump trucks).
  • Previous Receiving experience would be considered an asset.
  • Previous exposure to working in a LEAN environment would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
