Veterinary Dentist, Alta Vista Animal Hospital

Job Summary:
VCA Canada is seeking a Board-eligible or Board-certified Veterinary Dentist to join our specialty team at Alta Vista Animal Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality dental care to patients, including routine cleanings, extractions, and restorations.
- Diagnose and treat dental-related health issues, such as gum disease and tooth decay.
- Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary dentistry through ongoing education and training.
- Participate in the development and implementation of dental care protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada.
- Board-certified (ACVS) or residency-trained (and eligible to sit for board examination) in Dentistry.
- Leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude.
- Excellent diagnostic and critical care skills with expertise in ventilation.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure.
- The drive and ability to help train and mentor interns and technicians.
