Job Description

We are seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to join our team. As a Firmware Engineer, you will work with software engineers to develop, debug, and test embedded firmware. Your responsibilities will include managing firmware build tools, managing builds, and releasing firmware to test, as well as recreating and fixing problems reported by the test team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate UEFI firmware with system software and hardware.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware to ensure high-quality and reliable solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Development.
  • Proficiency in the C programming language.
  • Experience with firmware programming and debugging.
  • Knowledge of UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or BIOS.
  • Experience with x86 and ARM processors.
  • Previous experience with bring up and hardware boot sequence.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with OpenEDK.
  • Proficiency with Git source version control system.
  • Intimate knowledge of software development processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Creativity and judgment to developmental work on different projects.
  • Ability to analyze situations and implement solutions.
Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $140,000-$180,000.
