Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Advisory Consultant to join our team in Saskatchewan. As a member of our Global Infrastructure Advisory practice, you will work with a diverse group of professionals to provide advice to project owners, contractors, operators, investors, and government organizations on complex projects and programs.

Our team is a multi-disciplinary group of capital project managers, accountants, engineers, management consultants, economists, and finance professionals. We add value to our clients by helping them understand and manage the risks associated with their projects and improve performance. From strategy development through to operations, our practice provides advice at every stage of complex projects and programs.

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of high-quality services to public sector and private sector clients. Working in a team, the consultant will advise on projects for government (federal, provincial, and municipal) and the private sector, across a wide range of markets including utilities, transportation, agri-food, manufacturing, real estate, education, healthcare, and other service sectors.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for:
  1. Working with Indigenous communities and organizations
  2. Working on and leading multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of projects
  3. Communicating with different parties such as clients and other advisors
  4. Preparing and distributing reports and proposals
  5. Preparing proposals for RFP submissions
  6. Performing research, data gathering, economic, financial, and statistical analysis
  7. Assisting with the development and review of financial models
  8. Conducting thorough due diligence on financial and operational data
  9. Participating in strategic advice to clients based on detailed analysis
  10. Assisting in preparing strategic plans, business plans, and business cases

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  1. A strong academic record and a commitment to professional development
  2. Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous histories as they relate to current issues in reconciliation
  3. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  4. Strong interpersonal skills
  5. A team-oriented attitude and ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team
  6. Proven capability of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  7. Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and engage with diverse groups
  8. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  9. Flexibility to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities
  10. Strong quantitative and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of industry experience in a relevant industry (government, engineering, construction, real estate, utilities) and/or demonstrated skills and experience in one or more of the following: community engagement, infrastructure project planning, procurement, or delivery; economic and financial analysis; leading and facilitating meetings/workshops; operational and business improvement; lifecycle asset management; data analytics, business intelligence, and GIS.
