Acoustic Engineer

Erm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant - Environmental Engineer. As a key member of our acoustics team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality noise assessment, pre-and-post construction noise surveys, modeling noise impacts, and providing noise mitigation recommendations to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Expertise: Provide creative and fit-for-purpose acoustical technical analyses for client projects, including noise assessments, impact modeling, and data analysis.
- Project Management: Support the development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for noise impact studies, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Collaboration and Communication: Correspond and collaborate with Erm's acoustical technical community to ensure technical review of documents and support the expansion of our acoustical services globally.
- Business Development: Participate in business development and marketing opportunities, including attending conferences, client site visits, and marketing meetings.
- Quality and Safety: Work within quality, budget, and schedule expectations, and complete work assignments in accordance with Erm's management system, format, and quality standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in a professional services firm, preferably in a senior consultant role.
- Technical Skills: Experience with SoundPlan, CadnaA, Predictor, or other industry-supported noise modeling software, and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills, including experience writing detailed technical reports.
- Personal Qualities: Team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.
