Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). As a key member of our consulting team, you will be responsible for supporting the compliance management team by conducting air quality modeling and permitting applications for Ontario-based projects. Your expertise in operational permitting and emissions reporting will be essential in developing environmental management plans to support compliance management for various clients.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technical projects across different sectors, including oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, energy, and mining. You will be responsible for conducting assessments of air permitting requirements, developing air permit applications, and interacting with local regulators to ensure successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will prepare emission inventory and NPRI reports, quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts, and implement climate change projects such as greenhouse gas inventories and emission reductions.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment. A Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, atmospheric science, or a related field, and professional engineer designation in Ontario, are also required. Bilingualism in French is preferred but not necessary.
