Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety program that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs;
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor and assess health and safety risks and implement corrective actions as needed;
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective health and safety management;
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events, and develop recommendations for improvement;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on health and safety performance and compliance;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site-based health and safety representatives and committees;
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and provide training and coaching to staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction industry;
  • Proven track record of improving health and safety performance and reducing incident rates;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities;
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015;
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
