Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Happy Kids Castle Daycare. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and care of our children.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work under the supervision of our Early Childhood Educators to provide high-quality care and education to our children. This includes assisting with daily routines, planning and implementing activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily routines such as bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Help plan and implement activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and organizing the daycare
  • Assist with supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment
